This is a post World War Two depiction. C.1946-56. He is shown as a Captain - 3 "pips" on each shoulder. His Corps is Royal Artillery (RA) - "bursting bomb" collar badges and buttons. Only his Corps can be confirmed but no actual RA unit as there are no unit insignia shown. His medal ribbons show both World War One and World War Two service.They are: 1914-18 British War Medal, 1914-19 Victory Medal, 1914-18 British Territorial Force War Service Medal (this indicates he volunteered for overseas war service while serving as a part-time soldier in the British Territorial Army), 1939-45 Star, Africa Star (for North African and/or Mediterranean war service),1939-45 British Defence Medal, 1939-45 British War Medal.
