This rare piece by Jean de Courtenay Isherwood is the first work by the artist to be offered through auction in nearly 20 years. Her work is tightly held by collectors, only 6 of her paintings have previously been offered at public auction. Her work is represented in the Art Gallery of New South Wales and the National Gallery of Australia. In 1994 she was awarded the OAM for services to the arts as a painter in oils and watercolours.
